Many industrial aluminum profiles are used as accessories or supports in our industrial automation equipment. Because the aluminum alloy profile is beautiful and easy to form, the hardness is relatively large. There are many customers in consulting aluminum mold customization, we usually ask the surface need not need anodic oxidation. Because anodic oxidation has one more process, the price is different. So why do industrial aluminum profiles need anodizing?

1. Improve corrosion resistance
In fact, aluminum alloy is a corrosion-resistant metal, because aluminum is very active, especially easy to react with oxygen in the air to form alumina. The aluminum oxide film is transparent, so it is difficult for the human eye to see it. This thin layer of aluminum oxide just shut off the air so that the aluminum substrate is not oxidized. So it played a role in corrosion resistance. Then the naturally generated oxide film can play the role of oxidation resistance, why do you need anodic oxidation? On the one hand, because the naturally formed oxide film is not uniform, resulting in aluminum alloy surface color shades, more ugly; on the other hand, the naturally formed oxide film is very thin, easy to be scratched, corrosion resistance is relatively weak. The anodic oxidation of the artificial oxide film, uniform, dense and more corrosion resistant.

2, improve the wear resistance
Aluminum substrate is particularly easy to be scratched and worn, after all, the hardness of aluminum alloy can not be compared with steel. The surface of the anodized industrial aluminum profile is very hard, and the hardness of the oxide film can reach 300HV. So very wear-resistant, also not easy to scratch.
3. Surface coloring of decorative aluminum products
Before the anodizing and sealing of aluminum profiles, the surface will have very many and dense pores, which can easily adsorb some metal salts or dyes, so that the surface of aluminum products can form a rich and colorful color.

4. Improve insulation
We know that the conductivity of aluminum is very good, but aluminum profiles need insulation in some occasions. Anodized aluminum oxide film is non-conductive, so if you need to use the occasion of insulation, you need to anodize.
5. Base for spray paint
Some industrial aluminum surfaces need to be painted, and the voids on the surface of the anodized aluminum profile have strong adsorption, making the paint more uniform and beautiful.
The above is the small series summarizes some of the benefits of anodic oxidation treatment, of course, far more than these, anodic oxidation in addition to widely used in the industrial field, in the field of science and technology is also favored. It is believed that in the future, aluminum alloy anodization process will be applied to more fields.
