5. Special Instructions
Applicable pH:5.5±0.5
pH Adjustment:It is recommended to add Anodal Dye Buffer to adjust to pH 5.6
Water Quality Requirements:Best to use deionized water
Sealing Requirements:Best to use Anodal® ASL (one-step or two-step)
3. Preparation of Bath Solution
When preparing the bath solution, it must be fully dissolved.
It is best to pre-dissolve in a small container using five times the volume of deionized water (80 – 90°C). Then, stir and add the pre-dissolved solution to the dyeing bath.
4. Dye Lightfastness
Black OA has excellent lightfastness.
Lightfastness:Grade > 8 (tested according to ISO 2135).
Unsealed dyed workpieces cannot be decolorized with dilute nitric acid and sulfuric acid. They can be decolorized with 10% nitric acid + 5% potassium permanganate. After treatment, they must be neutralized in a 5% sodium bisulfite solution for 1–5 min.
Adding Antifungal Agent
Adding an antifungal agent to the dyeing bath can effectively prevent mold growth (mold growth is indicated by the dye solution smelling bad, forming flocculent precipitates, etc., which affects dyeing results and dye solution lifespan).
Recommended addition: 25-50 mg of Kleyon antifungal agent Nipacide CI 15 MV per liter of dye solution.
6. Treatment of Waste Dye Solution
Waste dye solution can be treated with Anodal WT-1 Liquid, which can filter out up to 99% of dye molecules from the waste liquid, turning the waste dye solution clear. The following table lists the methods for treating dye waste:
