3. Bath Solution Preparation
When preparing the bath solution, it must be fully dissolved.
It is best to pre-dissolve in a separate container using five times the amount of hot water (80-90°C) compared to the dye. Then, stir the pre-dissolved stock solution into the dyeing bath.
4. Dye Lightfastness
Dark color (12 µm):5-6 (ISO 2135)
5. Instructions
- Unsealed dyed aluminum cannot be decolorized with dilute nitric acid or sulfuric acid. It can be treated with 10% dilute nitric acid + 5% potassium permanganate for decolorization. After treatment, neutralize in a 5% sodium bisulfite solution for 1-5 minutes.
- This dye is sensitive to aluminum, so workpieces that have been anodized must be thoroughly cleaned before dyeing.
- Color mixing: Brown R can not only be used directly to dye reddish-brown but is also commonly used as a mixing dye, for example, mixed with Gold Orange RLW to create gold.
