3. Application conditions
Usage amount
Anodal® MS-1 New
The usage amount mainly depends on the quality of the water and the type of oxide film, preferably using deionized water.
The following amounts are recommended as a reference:
15~30ml/l
Sealing temperature
At least
80~95°C
The higher the temperature, the better the sealing quality.
Sealing time
Recommended sealing time
1~2min/µm
up to
3min/µm
To ensure the best sealing quality, when preparing the sealing bath solution or during use, the pH value should be checked and adjusted as required by adding diluted ammonia or acetic acid.
Stirring
Anodal MS-1 New
contains surfactant components, so it is advisable to avoid aeration stirring during use.
pH
5.5-6.0
Mechanical stirring or circulating water stirring is recommended.

4. Preparation and maintenance of sealing bath solution
Sealing bath body
Should be made of acid-resistant materials, preferably stainless steel.
Water quality
It is best to use deionized water for sealing, which ensures the best sealing effect without stains. Softened tap water can also be used,
but the water must not contain sealing contaminants such as phosphates, fluorides, and silicates, as these substances can delay or even hinder the sealing process.
For example, using tap water for sealing holes may not form sealing stains on the surface,
but undissolved mineral salts in the water can form dry deposits.
Using deionized water to prepare the sealing solution, which does not contain sealing contaminants, will not form sealing stains. When the sealed items are removed from the bath solution, the water quickly drains away, preventing deposits from forming in the air.
Bath solution analysis
The following method can quickly analyze the concentration of
